i've met people like this. they tend to be smart and often from middle or upper class homes but are revolting against america's addiction to stuff. they can get a job, and most likely will some day. they are re-aligning their priorities. learning what is important in life. not about drugs.

By a really weird coincidence, I actually recognize the guy on the right in the very first photograph. Whatever his vagabond roots may be, he is now a second year medical student at Tulane University in New Orleans, and he is one of the most caring and intelligent doctors-to-be that I have ever met.
